Committees & Special Interest Groups

The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber is a membership-driven business organization. Our strength is determined by the collective involvement of our members. Through committees and special interest groups, the members of the Algonquin/Lake in the HIlls Chamber help determine the focus and scope of work. Committee activity gives members the opportunity for input on issues impacting the business community and the opportunity to serve as a community ambassador for the member’s business. To get more involved, contact Chamber President, Sandy Oslance and let her know which of the following committees you are interested in serving on.

Ambassador Team (works in conjunction with Member Advisory Team)

The Chamber’s official public relations committee promoting good will and understanding about the Chamber to its members and the community at large. Team members meet with new business members not only to welcome them to the Chamber, but more importantly insure they understand how to begin benefiting from the Chamber benefits immediately. Ambassadors attend the various Chamber events to assist with introductions for businesses interested in meeting someone new.

Member Advisory Team (works in conjunction with Ambassadors)

  • Acting as a resource to established business in how to gain value through their Chamber investment.
  • Offer introductions to facilitate stronger relationships with businesses who have a similar customer base and provide opportunities for established businesses to enhance their current customer base.
