Welcome To Algonquin and Lake in the Hills

The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve two thriving communities. Algonquin and Lake in the Hills is located approximately 30 miles from O’Hare International Airport and is approximately 6 miles north of the Northwest Tollway (I-90). Major regional arteries through our two communities include; Illinois Route 62 and Randall Road and Illinois Route 31.

Over the years, Algonquin has developed into a thriving community, with its solid base of residential and commercial development. Algonquin offers a variety of high quality shopping and dining opportunities. Be sure to visit Algonquin’s Historic Downtown area located just off of the Fox River.

Lake in the Hills offers a host of area parks and recreation. Residents have chosen the Village because of its high quality of life and numerous amenities. Residents and visitors enjoy visiting the numerous parks located through out Lake in the Hills, including Bark Park which was created just for the four legged pets. Lake in the Hills is also home to a regional airport that can accommodate light to medium twin-engine aircraft and many turbo props 24 hours a day. The airport is located at 8407 Pyott Road

Founders Days Festival - July 28 - July 31, 2011

Lake in the Hills Summer Sunset Festival - September 2 - September 4, 2011

Lake in the Hills Rotary Rib Fest - July 7 - 10, 2011
Rotary Rib Fest features nationally renowned professional ribbers.
